TailCareReminders
My reminders aren’t showing up.
Check that notifications are on for TailCare in the iPhone Settings app, under Notifications. If you use a Focus, either allow TailCare in it or turn on time-sensitive reminders for the medications that matter most, so they break through.
How do I log a dose from the reminder?
Press and hold the notification, or swipe down on it, and choose Mark as Given. Snooze waits and reminds you again.
Can it remind me again if I miss one?
Yes. Each medication can have a second reminder 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes after the dose if it hasn’t been marked as given. The default for new medications is set in Settings.
Schedules and doses
What schedules can I set?
Once or several times a day, on chosen days of the week, or every few days, weeks or months, counted from the start date, with an optional course length.
I marked a dose by mistake.
Swipe the dose on the Today screen to undo it, or to skip a dose you don’t give.
How do I stop a medication?
Open the pet, choose the medication and stop it. Its history is kept.
Sync, data and Pro
My iPad doesn’t show my pets.
Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on for TailCare. Settings in the app shows the iCloud sync status.
Can someone else in my house see the doses I log?
Not at the moment. TailCare syncs through your own iCloud account, between your own iPhone and iPad.
What does TailCare Pro add?
TailCare is free for 1 pet and 1 medication. Pro removes both limits. Completed courses don’t count towards the free limit.
I’ve changed phone and Pro isn’t showing.
Open Settings in TailCare and choose Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you subscribed with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
How do I delete my data?
Settings › Delete All Data removes every pet, medication and dose record from your devices and iCloud.
