Four ways pet medication goes wrong, and how TailCare stops them
The evening dose slips your mind.
Every dose gets its own reminder, with Mark as Given and Snooze right on it. If it isn’t marked, a second reminder follows 15 minutes later.
You can’t remember if it was given.
Each dose is logged with the time it was given. Today shows what’s done, what’s due now and what’s still to come, so a dose isn’t given twice by mistake.
The schedule doesn’t fit a phone alarm.
Twice a day, Mondays and Thursdays, every 3 weeks or monthly. Courses end on the right day, and half tablets, liquids and spot-ons are all covered.
The vet asks how it’s been going.
A history calendar for each pet shows every dose that was given, skipped or missed, and how many were given in the last 7 days.
Set it up once, then log each dose in a tap
Add what the vet prescribed
The medication, the dose and how often, in three short steps. Set a course length and TailCare stops on the last day.

Act on the reminder
Mark the dose as given or snooze it from the notification, without opening the app. Important medications can break through Focus.

Keep a record for each pet
Every pet has a profile, their medications and a calendar of each dose, kept even after a course ends.

Questions
Which pets and medications does TailCare handle?
Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, horses and other pets, each with their own photo. Medications can be tablets (including half tablets), capsules, liquids in millilitres, chews, spot-on treatments or injections, with the strength and a note such as “give with food”.
What schedules can I set?
Once or several times a day, on chosen days of the week, or every few days, weeks or months, counted from the start date. A medication can run for a set number of days or carry on until you stop it.
What happens if I miss the reminder?
If a dose isn’t marked as given, TailCare can remind you again after 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes (15 is the default). The second reminder is cancelled as soon as the dose is logged. A dose that’s never logged shows as missed in the pet’s history.
Can my partner see the doses I log?
Not at the moment. TailCare syncs through your own private iCloud account, so it keeps your iPhone and iPad in step but doesn’t share a record with someone else’s devices.
Is my pets’ information private?
Your pets, medications and dose history are stored on your devices and in your private iCloud account, and we can’t see them. There’s no account to create and no ads. The app counts anonymous usage, such as how many doses are logged, to help improve it.
How much does it cost?
Free for 1 pet and 1 medication. TailCare Pro removes both limits. Plans and prices are shown in the app before you buy.
Does TailCare tell me how much to give?
No. TailCare reminds you and keeps the record; the dose and the schedule come from your vet or the medication’s label. It isn’t veterinary advice.
